Today Is A New Day by Alberta Parish

Today is a new day, because Barack Obama is our 44th President of the United States. Today is a new day for not only White America and Black America, but for all of America. Today is a new day, because I have another chance to correct or obliterate all my past mistakes. Today is a new day, because I have a chance to petition God for His grace and mercy. I know that His grace and mercy are renewed day by day. Today is a new day for new relationships (whether platonic or romantic). Today is a new day to get rid of toxic relationships. Everybody who claims to be your friend is not your friend, and you must accept that. Unfortunately, roughly 98% of human beings cannot be entirely trusted under no circumstances. Friends come and friends go, but Jesus will never leave your side. In fact, the Lord will fix it sometimes where He will be the only one you can turn to and depend upon, because everything that is going on in your life will demand that you put your total trust in Him.

Since I live in Usersville, Hatersville and Agginville USA simultaneously, I’m always running into unnecessary problems with treacherous people, and this is why I have come to the conclusion that Jesus is the only one I can put my TOTAL trust in. Today is a new day, because I now realize this. Jesus, my mother, my pastor, and Carl are the people I consider to be in my close circle. I don’t have to worry about these individuals playerhating on me, using me, wishing for me not to succeed in life, sabotaging my business (as a publisher/authorpreneur/editor), badmouthing me to people in an attempt to make me look like I’m a horrible person, taking my kindness for weakness, etc. Today is a new day because I know who my friends are, and I also know who my enemies are. Today is a new day, because I can be real about who I am. Today is a new day, because I can be real with Jesus about who I am as a person, and therefore, allow Him to help me to be the person He wants me to be. He’s there for me, to help me so I won’t have to do it all by myself. Today is a new day, because I can go to Jesus in prayer and cast my cares upon Him, and know that He’s heard each and every one of my prayers. Today is a new day, because I know that Jesus loves me and I can depend upon Jesus’ love even if I can’t depend upon love from any one else in the entire universe. Jesus made a promise to love me in spite of myself, and that promise was fulfilled when He gave his life upon the cross almost two thousand years ago.

Human beings make all sorts of promises that they know they were never going to keep like the promise of ‘til death do us part. People break this vow (promise) all the time. But the vows that God made to us, if He were to break all of His vows, all of humanity would be in Hell right now. The promises you make to people are very important, especially those you make to children. They remember everything. I would rather a person tell me the honest truth no matter how much it may hurt rather than for someone to promise something and don’t follow through with the promise. There are a lot of people in Usersville, Hatersville, and Agginville USA today whose word is not worth its very utterance. Very few promises I make to people, because I know there’s a possibility I may not be able to follow through with the promise I made.

In case you’re wondering what is Usersville, Hatersville and Agginville USA? Usersville is a quaint, quiet and small corner in every city in America in which individuals specialize in using people. Hatersville is another place where there are a number of playerhater operations in effect. One may enter Hatersville today, and not be able to return to neither Usersville nor Agginville because Hatersville, which has a population of about six million people, also has a death rate unlike anything Usersville or Agginville has ever seen. In Hatersville, a person may lose his/her life due to the playerhater operations that have taken over the entire public. This is what happened to the young man whose name was Oscar Grant that was shot in the back by a transit agency police officer on January 1, 2009 in Oakland, California. Hatersville is also located only within one mile of Usersville. Agginville USA is a major city that has a huge concentration of aggins. This is the place where the Agginitus disease originated. Agginitus is a new disease that is prevalent only in African Americans, and is killing more African Americans than HIV, diabetes, strokes, and heart disease combined. This disease is airborne, and the symptoms range from anger to anxiety attacks, from high blood pressure to long-term stroke damage. Only if a person has been exposed to aggins on an extremely high level will that person begin to develop symptoms of Agginitus such as depression, irritability, mania, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or extreme anger.
